Once I cheered him, savored his slick charm and deft maneuverings but he’s emerged as something more sinister — an opportunistic predator, wrapped in a veneer of charisma, who thrived on a cocktail of power and privilege.
What’s left of the Republican Party is a hollow shell, a grotesque mockery of what it once stood for.
